<p>Betty J. MacKenzie 79 of Homer, New York died October 11, 2021 at her family‘s home in Groton.</p><p><br></p><p>Born January 29, 1942 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to William and Helen Hilty Stalb.</p><p><br></p><p>She moved to the Homer area with her husband, the late John MacKenzie. After 36 years as food service supervisor at Homer Central Schools, she retired in 2005. Betty enjoyed casinos and boat cruises, but especially loved time spent with family. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her children David (Diana) MacKenzie, Margaret (Steven) Wyatt, Christopher MacKenzie, and Heather ( Michael) Almeida, six grandsons, two great grandsons, her sisters Virginia and Freda Stalb, and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by her husband John in 2007, sisters Marie and Florence, and her parents.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be private and held at the family’s convenience. </p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be made to Betty‘s guest book at www.zirbelfuneralhome.com</p>

Betty J. MacKenzie 79 of Homer, New York died October 11, 2021 at her family‘s home in Groton.


Born January 29, 1942 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to William and Helen Hilty Stalb.


She moved to the Homer area with her husband, the late John MacKenzie. After 36 years as food service supervisor at Homer Central Schools, she retired in 2005. Betty enjoyed casinos and boat cruises, but especially loved time spent with family.
