Mr. Danny E. Stephens, age 71, of Monticello passed away Friday, October 15, 2021.  He was born April 27, 1950 in Marietta to Malvin E. and Holly J. Stephens who have preceded him in death.  Danny grew up in Marietta and graduated from Sprayberry High School.  He was in the construction business and built homes all across the area.  Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and watching drag racing.  He was Baptist by faith and attended Monticello Baptist Church. 

Mr. Stephens is survived by his wife Juatassa C. Stephens; his children Stewart W. Stephens (Sheelina) of Covington, Jana M. Powell (Keith) of Monticello, and Shaye Ellison (Raymond) of Newborn; his grandchildren Astin Stephens, Aniston Stephens, Ethan Powell, Torie May, Aaron Stephens, Carter Ellison, and Brock Ellison; his sister Debra Frey of Cartersville; his brother-in-law Keith Culpepper of Dallas, Georgia; along with numerous other family members and close friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Stephens will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, October 23, 2021 with Reverend Tommy Reinhardt officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.  J.C.
