Nicholas Raymond "Midnight" Bell was born on December 26, 1978 and was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the age of 42. Beloved son of Noella Honore Bell, Lionel Smith, Sr. (Darlene) and the late Patrick R. Bell. Devoted husband of Delise Bell; darling father of Nicaya and Nick Washington; stepfather of Vincent, Ta'Mi and Ta'Von Harris; loving brother of Michael T. Bell (Wanda) and Latonya Bell (Quentin); uncle of Denver Anderson, Mackenzie, Madison and Denim Bell, Derrick Payton, Jr. and Dasia (Kentrell) Thornton; great uncle of Kaizen Thornton; nephew of Enola Anderson (Lawrence), Darlene Bennett (Ernest), Albertine Lizana, Ernest Honore', Micheal L. Bell, Roland Butler (Regnie), the late Paul, Frank and Warren Honore; son-in-law of Dewenda Cooper. In addition to his father, Patrick Bell, Nicholas was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Albertine Honore', James Vail and Josephine Bell; Godparents, Warren and Moralee Honore and other ancestors who came before him. Nicholas was such a joy to all he encountered and will truly be missed. Relatives and friends; Pastor, officers and members of First Baptist Church of Verrett, First Asia Baptist Church and all surrounding St. Bernard Parish and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life of the late Mr. Nicholas Raymond "Midnight" Bell will be held at First Baptist Church of Verrett, 3737 Bayou Road, St. Bernard, LA 70085 on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11 a.m., Reverend Dr. Raymond A. Smith, Host Pastor, Pastor Carlton Campbell of First Asia Baptist Church, Officiating. Interment First Baptist Church Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA. Visitation 9 a.m. in the church. A drive through viewing will be held at Charbonnet Family Services, 4917 E. Judge Perez Drive, Violet, LA 70092 on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Please remain in your vehicle.
