Marsha Ruth Chapman Yarborough, 76 of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Somerby Assisted living in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Born February 18, 1945 in Holly Springs/Inman in Spartanburg County. Marsha relocated to Mt. Pleasant, SC in September of 2020 to be closer to her son, Eddie Yarborough and his family.

Marsha was a beautiful, loving, kind, sweet and giving lady. She always was so thoughtful with her cards, gifts, as well as kind and supportive words. Marsha loved dancing to beach music and it was one of her favorite hobbies. Most of all, Marsha loved her son, Eddie Yarborough, more than life itself. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to Eddie’s daughter Olivia. Marsha worked most of her career in banking for Piedmont Federal which later became BB&T. She graduated from Spartanburg High School and attended Columbia College.

Survivors include her son, Eddie Yarborough and his wife, Lara Lyn of Mt. Pleasant, SC, her granddaughter, Olivia Yarborough, and brother, Tommy Chapman and his wife, Thelma of Cherry Grove, SC. Marsha was predeceased by her father Howard Thomson Chapman, and her mother Azalea Hannon Chapman.

Special thanks to Ginny Ward and Laura Ward for their talents regarding the flowers. Ginny, a first cousin, was more like a sister to Marsha through her lifetime and Laura was a loving friend and wife of Marsha’s cousin George Ward.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 17, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
