Beverly Jayne Berry Obituary

Beverly Jane Berry passed away at the age of 85 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania on March 19th 1936. She was brought up in a close knit family of five. She moved to Washington DC to pursue a career. She worked as a secretary at government agencies for 15 years before retiring. After retirement she moved to Delaware. She was very artistic and specially liked creating stained glass artifacts that to this day are proudly displayed by members of the family. Her interest in music led to joining the church choir where she enjoyed singing on a regular basis. She had an active lifestyle before she contracted Alzheimer’s and was either playing sports like tennis and bowling or gardening in her yard. She took great interest in cooking up creative dishes for her family to enjoy. She loved to travel and took multiple trips with her husband Richard covering five out of seven continents. She was an avid runner in her early days and could be seen reading a book or watching her favorite TV shows to relax and wind down from her busy day. She is survived by her daughters Margaret and Cynthia, her grandchildren Marshall, Jennifer, Nicholas and Brian, great grandchildren Quin and Finley and her sister Janet. Instead of sending flowers please plant a tree in her name and/or send donations in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
