<p>Stanley George Wortheim of Hollis, Maine formerly of Richmond, Vermont died peacefully at home October 9, 2021.&nbsp; He was born in Richmond, Vermont on March 11, 1928.</p> <p>Stanley served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950-1953. He married Virginia &ldquo;Jinny&rdquo; Burnell on November 28, 1956. She predeceased him on August 5, 2010.</p> <p>Stanley was a Horse Trader by profession who drove a truck to make ends meet. Stanley loved socializing and looking for his next trade. He enjoyed horse back riding, hunting, camping and going to Florida with Jinny.&nbsp; He really like driving his mule, Max, spending time with his grandchildren and riding his ATV on the trails and through the woods in his later years. Calls from Stanley&rsquo;s friends in Vermont, North Carolina, Florida, Arizona and Pennsylvania meant so much to him.</p> <p>Stanley is survived by his son, David &ldquo;Cubby&rdquo; Wortheim and his wife Anne of Millington, Tennessee, his son, Dennis &ldquo;Yogi&rdquo; Wortheim of Bolton, Vermont, his son, Donald Wortheim of Essex, Vermont, his daughter, Deborah Mobbs of Richmond, Vermont, his son Daniel &ldquo;Danny&rdquo; Wortheim and his wife Sarah of Hollis, Maine. Stanley had 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren whom he loved very much.&nbsp;</p> <p>Stanley was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Whitcomb, his sister, Nellie Jean Lawrence, granddaughter, Amanda Wortheim and grandson Donald Wortheim Jr.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 3pm at Riverview Cemetery in Richmond, Vermont.&nbsp; Reception will follow at The West Monitor Barn in Richmond.</p> <p>Stanley will be greatly missed by his family and friends.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Stanley&rsquo;s name to Operation Reboot, telephone 207-491-6204, &nbsp;&nbsp;www.operationrebootoutdoors.com.</p>

Stanley George Wortheim of Hollis, Maine formerly of Richmond, Vermont died peacefully at home October 9, 2021.  He was born in Richmond, Vermont on March 11, 1928.
