A funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Florence, SC on Sunday, October 17 at 3:00pm.&nbsp; The burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, and the family will receive friends afterward. Anyone wishing to pay their respects may stop by Belk Funeral Home between 3:00 and 5:00 Saturday.</span></span></div> <div class="yiv4495051007MsoNormal" style="overflow-wrap: break-word; font-family: arial; font-size: 13.3333px;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 30.6667px;">&nbsp;Dr. Nash was born in Canton, Ohio, son of the late Edwin and Dorothy McDaniel Nash. He attended Ohio State University and Ohio State University Dental School where he earned his DDS degree in 1964. He then entered the Air Force for two years where he was stationed at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. It was there that he met his future bride. In 1966, Dr. Nash married Mary Ann Brunson of Darlington, SC and their marriage of 54 years was blessed by three children: Kathryn (Mike) Edmonds of Pamplico, Richard Lee Nash, Jr. of Florence, and Robert Russell (Danielle) Nash of Inman. He is survived by two grandsons, Justin and Wesley Edmonds, and one granddaughter, Breanna Edmonds, all of Pamplico. Dr. Nash is also survived by two step-grandchildren, Justin Bolling and Brianna Bolling of Inman, SC. He is survived by his brother, Larry Nash of Minerva, Ohio, two nephews and a niece.</span></span></div> <div class="yiv4495051007MsoNormal" style="overflow-wrap: break-word; font-family: arial; font-size: 13.3333px;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; line-height: 30.6667px;">Dr. Nash was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon, Boy Scout Volunteer, and Cub Scout leader of Troop #477. He served as a president of the Florence County Dental Society and truly loved serving others using his dental skills. Richard Lee Nash, age 83, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the McLeod Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Florence, SC on Sunday, October 17 at 3:00pm.  The burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, and the family will receive friends afterward.
