Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Smith, of Dexter, Georgia, will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 2 PM at the graveside in the St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Dexter, Georgia. Reverend Jamie Pittman will deliver the eulogy. Mrs. Bobbie Jean Smith was born March 28, 1936, in Laurens County, Georgia, to the parentage of Mrs. Lillie Bell Ross and Mr. Benjamin Harvard. She was married to the late Ernest Smith, Jr. on March 17, 1956. She was an active member of Greater Victory Temple Church for many years where she served as a Church Mother. Mrs. Bobbie Smith transitioned from this life on October 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ernest Smith, Jr., her parents the late Lillie Bell Ross and Benjamin Harvard, son-in-law, Ivan Lewis and sisters, Doris Jackson and Loretta Harvard. Mrs. Smith leaves to cherish loving memories to six children, Willie (Judy) Smith, Debra S. Brown, Bobby Ray (Cheryl) Smith, Cynthia D. (Alphonza) Payne, Earnestine Lewis and Michelle Smith; brothers and sisters, Willie Charles (Ossie) Ross, Napoleon (Susie) Harvard, Dorothy (John) McRae, Benjamin Harvard, Jr., Felton (Ruby) Harvard, Ernell (Tanieka) Harvard and sister-in-law, Shelby Parks.
