Frances Ann Jones, age 98,passed away peacefully on October 8, 2021. She was born September 9, 1923 in DesMoines, Iowa to Henry and Mary Wasson. Most of her adult life was spent in Franklin, Indiana, where she was President of Psi Iota Xi Sorority and Secretary of the Johnson County Indiana Library Board. At various times, she was President, Vice President and Secretary of the Johnson County Memorial Hospital Guild. She served as choir director, organist, pianist, choir member, deaconess and trustee over a period of 45 years at Community Congregational Church in Franklin, Indiana. Frances worked in doctors’ offices there, with her last position as Administrative Secretary at Central Nine Vocational-Technical School in Greenwood, Indiana. Frances was a volunteer at Lake Havasu Samaritan Regional Hospital where she was a member of the Auxiliary. She was an active member of Havasu Bible Fellowship (New Hope Calvary Church) and in her later years, Community Presbyterian Church. Frances is survived by her son, Ward Jones of Vancouver, WA; daughter Nancy Krueger of Beaufort, SC; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James (Jim) W. Jones in 2013. Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
