Teresa J. Thomas known as “Resa Baby” or “Sweet T”, was born on February 27, 1959, in Mount Calm, Texas to L.D. and Lena Juanita Johnson.

Teresa attended Mount Clam Elementary School and graduated from Hubbard High School. As education was always a priority to Teresa, she enrolled in Hill Community College, receiving her nursing degree. Teresa went on to work at Oak-View Minor Nursing Facility as director of nurses. Her love for serving and helping others lead her nursing career to other facilities. Greenview Manor, Bellmead Family Care, and the Mexia State School where she retired.

She was blessed to have found love twice, her first union was to Donald Ray Williams and her second was the union to Reverend Bennie Thomas.

Continuing her love for the Lord, she later moved and co-founded Mizpah Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, with her husband, Rev. Thomas. As time passed Teresa moved her membership back to Greater Mount Baptist Church where she received her crown for a servant’s job well done on October 3, 2021.

Teresa was known for her vivacious laughter: When she entered a room, everyone knew she was there, she was always the life of the party!  Teresa put the (T) in twerking before it was a dance!  Teresa had many talents she was one of the best bakers on this side of heaven. She loved to praise dance for the Lord. She was the owner of Blessed Creations Crafting. It was an unspoken fact for the family, Sunday dinner was at Teresa’s and all friends were welcomed to join.
