<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rodney F. Dilley, 74, of Chillicothe, died 6:12 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a short battle with cancer.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He was born October 5,1947 in Kitts Hill, OH to the late Rev. Forrest and Christine Watson Dilley. On May 22, 2004, he married the former Linda M. Climer, who survives.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Also surviving are a son, David Rodney (Lindita) Dilley, of Jackson; a daughter, Amy (Joe) Hutchison, of Ashville; his wife&rsquo;s children, Chad (Stephanie) Simpson, of Austin, TX, Craig (Lauren) Simpson, of Delaware, OH and Jill (Chad) Henderson, of Orient, OH; grandchildren, Carli and Carter Hutchison, David and Marina Dilley and Calli, Abby and Reed Henderson; a brother, Michael (Lois) Dilley, of New Holland; a nephew, Joshua (Denise) Dilley; and a niece, Sarah Nichols.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rodney attended the Richmond Dale Church of Christ and Christian Union. He retired from the Mead Corporation and served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rodney never missed an opportunity to share his love of the Lord and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You could often find him visiting hospitals, nursing homes and those in need.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Even in his final days he continued to be concerned with the Salvation of others by witnessing to the many people who were involved in his care.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rodney loved riding his Harley and he and Linda took many trips across the country. He also enjoyed road trips with his buddies. He liked taking his classic cars to Cruise-Ins and seeing friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the last few years he drove a school bus for Southeastern. He not only drove his regular route but also spent many evenings and weekends taking kids to sporting events.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He made many wonderful memories and shared many good times with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the Richmond Dale Church of Christ and Christian Union with Pastor David Stulley officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery.      Rodney F. Dilley, 74, of Chillicothe, died 6:12 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a short battle with cancer.

     He was born October 5,1947 in Kitts Hill, OH to the late Rev. Forrest and Christine Watson Dilley. On May 22, 2004, he married the former Linda M. Climer, who survives.
