Judy Ann Kammer Obituary

Judy Ann Kammer, 77, passed away on October 13, 2021 in Las, Vegas, NV. Judy was born on September 25, 1944 in Marine City, MI to Caleb Kale Horton and Helen Beatrice Smith. Judy was raised in Marine City, and met her husband there. She and Charles Arthur Kammer were married on August 2, 1962, and raised their five children in Marine City for many years. As their eldest children graduated, the family moved to Virginia for a time. Judy started to work for the Department of Corrections and more importantly, became a grandma there. She and Charles moved around the States to live near their children and grandchildren. Eventually, they retired and moved to Overton, NV.

Judy was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and sketching. She also enjoyed making crafts. Her favorite Judy’s love of Christmas would bring joy to the heart, and her decorations would bring beauty to the eye. She would often leave the Christmas tree up year round and decorate according to the other holidays. Judy always wanted to be a mother, and was blessed with her five children. She was even happier to be a grandmother, and treasured every moment with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She always cared to make sure she got birthday and Christmas gifts. She loved her husband, and they would often go on long car rides, where their conversations would last the entire drive.

Judy had immense faith in her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and was always praying for her family. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she was sealed to her family in the Salt Lake Temple on September 14, 1973 for time and all eternity.

Judy is survived by her husband, Charles Arthur Kammer; her children, Tonda Kammer Garringer, Torie (Lane) Waite, Charles J (Carla) Kammer, Tracy (David) Daniels, and Tennille (Nathan) Sawyer; her twenty-two grandchildren; her twenty-one great-grandchildren (with two on the way); her siblings, Donna (Wally) Evans and Caleb (Sue) Horton; a large extended family, and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her eight siblings.
