Nyle Barnett Colton

Nyle Barnett Colton was born April 26, 1937 in Minersville, Beaver Utah to Sidney Fay Colton and Mable Emma Barnett. He had two older siblings: Joyce and Farrell. He spent his formative years in Price Utah. He graduated from Carbon High School. He married his high school sweetheart Marilyn Sue Miller August 12, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Nyle took the role of being the provider for his family seriously. He was a professional truck driver. He drove many accident free miles and was recognized for this accomplishment. He made sure that his family had the necessities of life and did his best to take care of their needs. In his spare time he developed his talents for woodworking, and gardening. He also loved to cook. His soups, desserts and shrimp were legendary. He shared his love for fishing, camping and hunting with his family and friends. He also had a passion for collecting coins. Nyle had a sharp memory and shared the best stories about the people and places in his life. His laughter was contagious! He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He passed from this life October 11, 2021. He is now reunited with his son Durk and many family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn and children Don (Carmen), Alan (Cathy) and DeNene as well as 8 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons and 2 great granddaughters. He will be laid to rest October 16, 2021 in Sunset Memorial Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
