Walter Gerardo Zavala

Walter Gerardo Zavala Age 36 of Willis Texas and Native Houstonian. Born December 15th 1984. Ascended into Heaven October 2nd 2021. He is survived by his parents, Marta and Hernan Zavala and his wife of 17 years, Delilah Zavala, daughters Emily and Isabella Zavala, Brother Isidro (Alex) Melgar, Sisters Sonia Garcia and Nancy Zavala. He is preceded in death by his Uncle, whom he loved dearly, Jose Arturo Zavala. Walter was a very dedicated and hardworking man. His occupation was Stevedoring for Gulf Stream Marine. His skills and intelligence in business matters and communications caused him to excel in every aspect of his life. He was a graduate from Galena Park High School where he also played football. Well known for his charm, good looks, tall stature and kindness. He liked to cut up and make jokes and funny smart whitted comments. He enjoyed going to the casinos, football games on the big screen, grilling up some fajitas for family gatherings at his home, playing video games, his favorite being Call of Duty. He loved snuggling with his girls and his dog Sookie. His priority in life was above his own needs, above his own health, even till his last day on earth, was to provide stability and security for his family. Walter was a son first, a husband second, a father most importantly to his daughters that are left to carry on his legacy. He was an uncle, a son in law, a cousin, a brother, and friend to many. We can only tell him farewell with great sorrow and tears. A part of our hearts go with him to Heaven. With honor and love, we will cherish every memory, Until we meet again, farewell our love, farewell.
