Please review the obituary and make any corrections that need to be made thank you. Genevieve (Geno) Padro Ramirez went to her heavenly home Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the beautiful age of 93. She was born on May 4, 1928 to Rafael Ramirez and Angelina Serrano in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. Geno graduated high school and attended business school before working for Abbott for twenty-two years before retiring. She married Hector Padro Martinez May 6, 1950. They knew each other as children. Hector and Geno were married seventy years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-gramma, and great-great gramma. Geno was an artist and enjoyed painting, drawing, gardening, cooking, baking, and sewing. Most of all she loved her family deeply. Her kindness and devotion was like no other. To know her and meet her was a delight. She was sugar and spice and everything nice. Geno had a lot of wisdom, and was very giving. Cherishing her memories are daughter Genevieve (Abbie) Hanlin, grandchildren; Tracey Russell, Justin (Kristy) Hanlin, Charlie Russell, Janay Hanlin, great-grandchildren; Jacob, Giana, Olivia, Kaleb, great-great grandson Hunter Hanlin; brother, Julio Lito, many nieces, nephews, and special friends Gladys Colon and Pastor Gonzalo Palacios. Genevieve is preceded in death by her precious husband; son Charles D Padro, daughter Hilda Russell, son-in-laws John Russell and Don Hanlin, parents, sisters, and brothers. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Christian Church located at 2600 Lewis Ave, Zion, IL 60099. Interment will be private.
