Obituary

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mary on October 14, 2021.  Her perseverance and tenacity kept her spirit strong throughout her final days.  We take comfort knowing she is at peace.  Mary enjoyed planting her flowers, being in the garden, and every spring always looking forward to the return of “her” birds.  Her green thumb was well known as she could take any droopy, ready for compost plant and bring it back to life.  She loved a good game of crib and anyone that has played her knows she played to win.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Walter; her son, Darrell; daughter, Mona; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, John, Carl and George; sisters, Alvina and Fran; numerous nieces and nephews as well as her special lake friends.

Mary is now reunited with: her mother Theresa and father Carl, daughters Sheila and Pamela, sisters Theresa and Louise, and brother Joseph.

Mary was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be forever missed, but the memories she left will always remain.  Now we say good bye and stand back at the joy she is sure to bring those in heaven who have been waiting for her.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, there will be no service.  To honour Mary, we ask that you spend time with your family, take a walk with a loved one, and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond.
