Kathy Sue Potts, 62, of Inwood, WV passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Suburban Hospital of Bethesda, Md. Born on January 12, 1959 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late John David Wasson, Jr., and Beulah Jane Jacobs Wasson. Kathy was the Administrator for the WV Birth to Three program at RESA VIII for 35 years. She enjoyed spending time at home with her family and pets, who she loved dearly. Kathy is survived by her husband, Reynolds Eugene “Gene” Potts; two daughters, Christina Wasson McLuckie (Cliff) of Colorado and Caitlin Potts (James Allman) of Hedgesville; two stepdaughters, Beth and Megan Potts of Inwood; six grandchildren, Paisley, Sophia, Hannah, Willow, Sydney, and Hazel; one brother, John David Wasson III; and one sister, Carol Kisamore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Renfore. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home with Minister Donna Leatherman officiating.
