Sylvia Vasquez-Torres,58, of Midland, died Thursday, October 7, 2021. Memorial service will be 10 AM Saturday October 23, 2021 at Myers & Smith Chapel. Sylvia was born August 7, 1963 in Big Spring to Frank Vasquez and Teresa Flores Vasquez. She married Sammy Torres in Ft. Worth in 1998. Sylvia enjoyed ministry activities and was always helping people especially elderly people. She loved spending time with family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren. Sylvia is survived by her husband; Sammy Torres, 4 children; Jody Yanez, Lorena Flores, & Zacarias Torres, & Daniel Torres, 4 step-children; Michelle Stromberg, Sammy Torres, Jr., Jeremiah Torres, & Kayla Deleon, her mother; Teresa Vasquez, 11 grandchildren, 2 sisters; Cindy Talamantez (Jesse) & Lisa Vasquez, 1 brother; Frankie Vasquez Jr., and several nieces and nephews.
