<p><strong>Lillian Shope Gilreath, 91 of Gainesville passed away Thursday October 14, 2021.</strong></p> <p><strong>Born in Belmont, North Carolina, Mrs. Gilreath had lived in Hall County for most of her life.&nbsp; She was the daughter of the late John Byrd and Roxie Goudelock Shope.&nbsp; Mrs. Gilreath was a graduate of Riverbend High School Class of 1946,&nbsp; and&nbsp;was retired from Reynolds Metals where she was an executive assistant.&nbsp; Mrs. Gilreath was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church.</strong></p> <p><strong>She loved to travel and also loved gardening, most of all Mrs. Gilreath loved her family and spoiling the grandchildren and great grandchildren.&nbsp; She will be missed by all.</strong></p> <p><strong>Survivors include her son, Michael&nbsp;Gilreath, Apex, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Steve Rierson, Calhoun, Ga; grandchildren; Brian and Katie Gilreath; Andrew Gilreath; Alex (Rierson) Saville&nbsp;and Brian Saville; Chandler and Alina Rierson; Chase Rierson and Chapin Rierson; great grandchildren, Peyton Gilreath; Wesley Gilreath; James Rierson, William Saville and Aria Rierson; sisters, Estelle Shope, Tucson, AZ and Mary Whelchel, Gainesville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.</strong></p> <p><strong>Mrs. Gilreath is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry Wayne Gilreath and a number of brothers and sisters.</strong></p> <p><strong>Funeral services will be held Sunday October 17, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little &amp; Davenport Funeral Home.&nbsp; Rev. Lillian Shope Gilreath, 91 of Gainesville passed away Thursday October 14, 2021.
