Lisa Marie Shimek, age 40, died suddenly on October 10, 2021. She was born March 2, 1981, in Spokane to Randy and Carol Ringwood Shimek.

Lisa spent her early years on the family’s farm in Lind, and lived in Ritzville and Spokane. Her early childhood was spent roaring around the farm with her siblings, and later with friends in town. She graduated from Shadle Park High School, and made a career in banking.

Lisa is survived by two wonderful children, Brayden and Brielle Burnette, whom she loved deeply. Fiercely loyal, Lisa had a group of close friends, and many who loved her.

Lisa is meeting her beloved mother in heaven, along with her father and grandparents. She is survived by her two children, sister Jaime Shimek of Washington, DC, brother Jason Shimek of Spokane, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 12:30 pm at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be at 2:00 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jason Shimek, for the benefit of Lisa’s children, at 3003 W. Lacrosse, Spokane, WA 99205 or via Zelle at jasonshimek@hotmail.com.
