Tim “Dobby” Dobson, age 64, of Tomahawk, WI, was born September 8, 1957, in Sun Prairie, WI, to the late John “Jack” and Joyce Dobson. John “Jack” and Joyce died in a car accident on October 10, 1961. Ray and Carole Stangler adopted Tim and his siblings. He grew up in Sun Prairie and graduated from Sun Prairie High School, class of 1976.  Tim enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served for over 10 years and loved every minute that he was there.  He was discharged after he broke his back. He left the Army as Staff Sergeant Promotable.  After leaving the military, he worked many years with the United States Post Office in Madison.  He retired from Wisconsin Built and took pride in his work there building benches and displays all over Wisconsin and nationwide. Tim enjoyed golfing and was a member at Inshalla Country Club in Tomahawk.  He also enjoyed fishing, rides on his Harley (aka “Redhead”), taking care of his lawn, and spending time with his daughter and grandkids. Per his grandkids, Tim made the best kiddie cocktails. He was also an excellent woodworker. Tim did a lot with the Wisconsin Legion Riders throughout the state and was the roadmaster for many years and planning rides.  He was very active in the American Legion and was proud to be a veteran. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Scott Bleecker, of Fort Atkinson, WI; his grandkids, Lily and Gunner Bleecker; his mother, Carole Stangler, of Sun Prairie; his brother, Randy (Jeannie) Dobson, of Florida; and his sister, Lynn (Mike) Stangler, of Tomahawk.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his birth parents, John “Jack” and Joyce Dobson; Ray Stangler; his uncle, James Dobson; and his sister, Jeanne Dobson Jesberger. A visitation to share memories of Tim “Dobby” Dobson will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Generations Funeral Home, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.  Interment services with Military rites will follow at the Northwoods National Cemetery in Harshaw, WI.
