<p>Sarah Esteen Rogers Thomas, age 96, of Sanford, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.</p> <p>She was born in Harnett County on September 12, 1925 to the late Joseph Nolan Rogers and Sophia Thomas Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Ernest Lee Thomas; son Danny Thomas; brother Nolan Kelly Rogers and son-in-law Wade Marion. </p> <p>Mrs. Thomas is survived by sons Mike Thomas and wife Margaret, Tim Thomas and Jay Thomas, all of Sanford; daughters Patsy Marion of Cameron, Linda Womble and husband Bill of Pinehurst and Darlene Perry and husband Don of Sanford; daughter-in-law Rose Currin Thomas of Sanford; brother Kenneth Rogers of Holden Beach; sister Mary Rose of Sanford; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and best friends Shirley Spivey, Kathy Gross and Connie Currin. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed working in her yard and garden although her greatest joy was her family. She loved them deeply. Her love and dedication to her family will be greatly missed. She also loved the church families of Edgewood Presbyterian Church and Morris Chapel United Methodist Church.</p> <p>The body will lie in state on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Edwards and Rev. Douglas Currin officiating.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Ronald McDonald House, 419 S.
