Buhl- Virginia Lee Cope passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Buhl, Idaho at the age of 94.

Virginia was born August 11, 1927 in Harrison, Arkansas to Arlis and Edith Dixon. She moved out to Idaho at an early age with her family and met the love of her life, Wayne Cope, in 1945. They were married March 16, 1945 and were later blessed with two daughters.

Virginia worked at various employments including Green Giant, Troy National Laundry, and owned several businesses with Wayne including: Buhl Dairy Queen, Clothing Store, and Copes Market up until retirement due to Wayne’s health issues forcing them to close. They were able to work side by side , day in and day out through the years together which formed a bond like no other.

Virginia is survived by daughters, Karen (Rick) Bolian of Filer; Sharon (Gary) Welch of Buhl; grandsons, Chris Welch (Kari) of Buhl; and Gary “Pete” (Tylene) Welch of Boise; sisters, Shirley (Terry) Pearson of Buhl; and Linda Stombaugh of Buhl; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; parents; and brothers, Bill Dixon, Jr. Dixon; Bervin Dixon, and Dale Dixon.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave North, Buhl. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at West End Cemetery, 1574 East 4150 North, Buhl.
