Dr. Carl E. Odom
Dr. Carl E. Odom, 90, of Hattiesburg, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Merit Health Wesley Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Carl was an optometrist who practiced in Columbia for many years. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi and the Southern College of Optometry. He had served his Country by enlisting in the U. S. Air Force and became a pilot. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf. He is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Odom; parents, Fred and Viola Odom; and a brother and sister. He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Jeannine Odom of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Laurie Odom of Hattiesburg; two grandchildren, Andrew Royce, Sara Royce, both of Hattiesburg; and his four-legged friend, Daisy.November 12, 1930 - October 9, 202111/12/193010/09/2021
