Clint Leon Edmiston San Angelo, Texas Obituary

Clint Leon Edmiston

Clint Edmiston, 56, passed away in San Angelo. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Thurman Johnson retired Baptist minister, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mr. Edmiston was born June 9, 1965 in Eastland. Clint married Gina on July 14, 1990 in Wall, they were married for 28 years. Clint lived in Arlington and then for 7 years in Grapevine where all three children were born. They built their dream home on 320 acres near Gatesville, TX where Cole, Evan, and Cooper grew up until moving out for college. Clint cleared out the brush and cedar trees on a hill overlooking his beloved hay field where the new home would be built. Clint always loved working out on the land where he eventually raised his cow and calf crops. Clint was a very hands-on father. He wanted to do any and all of the day-to-day things with raising the kids from birth on up to high school. Clint sold life insurance, accumulating many sales awards over the years. When he wasn't selling insurance or working with his cattle, Clint could be found out on a field or court coaching his kids' sports teams. He loved his 3 children dearly and always wanted them to excel -- and they did. As the children got older and participated in school sponsored sports, Clint loved watching them and was their #1 fan. He couldn't have been prouder of them -- both on and off the field as they also excelled in the classroom. Although he has left us far too early, we can still feel his love. It gives peace of mind knowing he is watching over his family with the Lord. We are sure it's a little chilly right now in heaven, but he has built a beautiful fire and is warm and comfortable. Survivors include his two sons, Cole Edmiston and wife Emory of Lakeway, and Cooper Edmiston of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his daughter, Evan Edmiston of Georgetown; his parents, Ollie Winfrey Evinger and husband Robert of Clifton and Coy Edmiston and Judy Jones of Rising Star; his brother, Dave Edmiston and wife Aimee of Clifton; his sister, Angie Edmiston of Dallas; Gina Edmiston, mother of his children of San Angelo; niece and nephews, Ella, Isaac and Ben Edmiston; and many other close family and friends.
