Timothy Alan Smith was born February 4, 1962, in Salem, Oregon, to Robert and Shirley (Baker) Smith. He grew up in the Turner area, graduating from Cascade High School in 1980. He met Linda Vance at Payless Drugstore where they were both working, and the two hit it off and began dating. They were married at the Christian Center of Salem on August 26, 1984. Tim accepted Linda’s two children as his own and then they welcomed two children of their own. He continued working for Payless Drug Stores NW and Rite Aid as a store manager.  Tim was an avid bow hunter and belonged to the Wapiti Bowmen, where he enjoyed socializing as much as honing his archery skills. He also loved the Lord and lived a life full of praise and thankfulness. Tim loved his family deeply and was a steady and committed husband, father, and grandfather.  On October 4, 2021, Tim passed away in Stayton, Oregon, at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Shirley, and his brother Bob. Tim is survived by his wife Linda; children Tim and Tanaela, Jason and Collin; and grandchildren Kaleb, Chloe, Brenden, Scarlett, Samantha, Trevor, Connor, Riley, Violet, and Jayden; and siblings Steve and Lori.
