<p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Delmer J. Smith, age 89, of Summertown, TN passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at his residence. He was a native of Beckley, WV, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of Chapel Grove Church of Christ. </span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">He was preceded in death by his parents, Norvell James and Thelma Emma Thompson Smith; one brother, Robert Smith; and one sister, Jean Harris.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">He is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith of Summertown, TN; one daughter, Diane Myers (Bill) of Loganton, PA; two sons, Archie Duane Smith (Diana) of Westlake, OH and James Todd Smith (Tami) of Athens, AL; five grandchildren, Barbara, Kristel, Dwayne, Casey, and Jordan; and six great-grandchildren, Ambyr, Allen, Margot, Elliot, Jack, and Thomas.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, October 15, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021. Interment will follow at Chapel Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. </span></strong></p>November 24, 1931 - October 14, 202111/24/193110/14/2021
