Steve Fuegmann Obituary

Steve Fuegmann, 71, Minot, ND, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at his son’s residence in Minot surrounded by his loving family.  Thank You for always being there. Love you Dad.   Steve Fuegmann didn't have hobbies. He didn't golf. He didn't drive fast cars or ride horses. Dad didn't even like to watch football on TV. He was a family man. Steve spent his time with his wife, 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Steve was known to have a sleeping baby on his chest with two or three more kids in his arms. It's what we do. It's what he did. He was our rock.   Steve was born April 6, 1950 in Catskill, New York to Otto and Margaret Fuegmann. Steve was raised with four brothers and attended Cairo High School in New York. Steve loves his friends that he has kept throughout the years and made annual trips to visit family and friends.  Steve considered Minot his home and has made many life-long friendships who watched his children grow up right before their eyes.   While serving in the Air Force, Steve was stationed in Cheyenne, WY when he met his only love, Linda. Steve and Linda married 49 years ago September 25, 1972. They meant to have two children, but God had other plans. Even when they thought they were done having children, eight years later came another. Steve and Linda have done nothing but open their arms to more children and have 'adopted' a few more throughout the years. Many friends still call them 'Mom & Dad' and know that only strangers knock on the door rather than walking in.   All seven grown children live in Minot, a true testament and definition of family. Our home is called Grand Central Station, someone is always stopping over, dropping off kids or just nearby and needed to poop. Always an open door, open arms and open hearts. The family spent much of their time camping, loved Mouse River park ice cream shop and roller skating. Over the years Steve continued to go camping with grandchildren and would even sleep in his camper, right in the driveway. It was his happiness.   Steve could fix anything or tell you a million dirty jokes. Steve served in the Air Force, was a gas station manager, a realtor, an insurance agent and his last longest employment was with Ward County as superintendent of parks. He loved napping on the job at all of the county parks.   There isn't more to say than Thank You. Thank You for always being there.  His loving family includes:  Wife, Linda Fuegmann; Children: KJ and Vicky Fuegmann, Jill Jackson, Tina and Jason Lemon, Kari and Shannon Cree, Julie Fuegmann, Bob and Casey Fuegmann, and Kelli and William Poff; Grandchildren: Sean and Savannah Stringer, BreeAnna Kremer, Madyson Faul, Stephanie Jackson and her fiancé Matt Hoffman, Toni and Jacob Nilson, Bryce Lemon, Derek Jackson, Austin Schatz, Dani Fuegmann, Aiden Cecil, Kynzee Ragle, Rhypp Ragle, Chaz Primeau, MaKenzie Primeau, and Kennedy Poff; Great-Grandchildren: Vaeda Havelka, Kade Havelka, Harrison Havelka, Aniyah Warren, and Shyanne Stringer.  Funeral: Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at The Grand Hotel, Minot, ND.  Visitation:  Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Grand Hotel, Minot.   The service will be livestreamed for the public to view and can be accessed by going to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0tdo8-ggqs
