Miriam Marocco October 20,1929 - October 11,2021 It is with great sadness that the family of Miriam Marocco announces her passing on October 11,2021. She was just 9 days shy of 92. She was born in Tarboro, North Carolina, and an Eastchester resident for 71 years prior to her passing. She is pre-decessed by her husband, John J. Marocco. John Marocco served as an Eastchester Town Councilman for 18 years prior to his passing. She was the loving Mother to Susan and Joel, John and Glenis and Frank. Grandmother to Deborah, Christopher and Michael. Great Grand Mother to Joshua and Julia. Many nieces, nephews and their families. She loved the yearly family reunions with her brothers, sisters and many extended family. She brought North Carolina cuisine to New York. Miriam was a retired secretary to School Principals of the Eastchester School System. She was a generous, kind and caring person that cherished family over all else. She will be forever loved and missed. The family will receive friends on Sunday October 17 from 2-5pm at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, 190 Main Street, Eastchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday October 18 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church , Scarsdale at 10am. Interment to follow in Holy Mount Cemetery.
