Craig T. Watts Riverview, Florida Obituary

Craig T. Watts

Watts, Craig T., 29, of Valrico, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Craig was born in Annapolis, MD, where he grew up until moving to Riverview, FL in 2005, where he wasted no time making new friends and a new life. Craig left this world doing what he loved best “hoopin”. He started playing organized basketball at the age of 5 and was right at home in the competitive AAU environment of his new home. Through the years, he played in school, AAU, semi-pro and pick up games. Coached by his dad and with constant teammate and rival in his younger brother KK, Craig surrounded himself in basketball. Craig could find a court in the middle of nowhere! Craig was loved, cherished and adored by close family, friends and even strangers that he blessed in passing. He had a genuine smile that would touch your heart and reach your soul. Craig goes on to heaven to be with his daughter Aliyah Watts and his maternal grandfather, Sherman Brown Sr. Craig is survived by his son, Bryce Watts; parents, Cary and Nicki Watts; brother, Caelen "KK" Watts (Brittaney); sister, Courtney Watts; paternal grandparents, Carroll (Joyce) Watts; maternal grandmother, Artha Lee Brown; uncles, Carroll Watts Jr (Alicia), and Sherman Brown (Keith Royal); aunt, Joyce Wilson. A celebration of his life will be conducted on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 2 to 4 PM at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview.

A month and a half ago I was able to see, speak, catch-up with, take pictures with and joke around with Craig in the very exact suit and tie at one of his proudest milestone moments, his little brother's wedding. His Best Man speech to Caelen was classic Craig; fun, ente... Continue Reading
