Danville – Howard Wayne Jinkins, 75, of Decatur, AL formerly of Danville, IL passed away on October 7, 2021 in Huntsville, AL.

Howard was born on September 15, 1946 the son of Howard and Ruby (Marrow) Jinkins in Danville, IL.

Survivors include his daughters, Amanda (Steve) Kellum of Decatur, AL, Cindy (Anthony) Allred of Lawrence County, AL, a brother-in-law, Bobby Sparkman of Bartlett, TN, a nephew, Jason Sparkman of Bartlett, TN and a niece, Stacey (Tommy) Holt of Nashville, TN, as well as five grandchildren.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patsy Sparkman.

Howard served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from September 16, 1966 – September 13, 1968. Howard was a Christian and is now reunited with his family in heaven.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 3901 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61832. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.

It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation or services wear a mask and practice social distancing.
