<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It is with a sense of sadness announcement is made of the passing of Mrs. Ann T. (Terri Rancheck) Petroski, R.N.&nbsp; Terri passed into Eternal Life shortly after midnight, Thursday, October 14, while in the care of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center following complications from a recent surgery.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Born on Wednesday, September 13, 1944 in Wilkes-Barre, Terri was one of four children to the late John and Magdalen (Fertal) Rancheck.&nbsp; Educated in the Catholic schools, she was a member of the 1962 graduating class of the former Saint Mary&#39;s High School, Wilkes-Barre.&nbsp; She later furthered her education toward her vocation by becoming a member of the 1965 graduating class of the former Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, South Wilkes-Barre.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A registered nurse for over eleven years, Mrs. Petroski held positions of staff nursing with Mercy Hospital Wilkes-Barre; the former Craft-Farrow Memorial Hospital of Columbia, South Carolina; the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. and the Burlington County Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, New Jersey.&nbsp; Until her retirement, she had been employed locally by the American Red Cross Blood Services, Hanover Township as staff nurse in the pheresis department.&nbsp; Prior to that, she served as head nurse working with the Red Cross Bloodmobiles and also served professionally as a staff nurse for Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Devoted to her Catholic faith, Mrs. Petroski was a member of the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, North Wilkes-Barre and the Pennsylvanians for Human Life.&nbsp; She was a regular attendee of the 4:00 p.m. vigil Mass each Saturday, where she could be seen escorted lovingly by her husband Leonard. Fraternally, she also held membership in the American Red Cross Alumni Association and the Slovak Heritage Society of Northeastern Pennsylvania.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She and her husband Leonard celebrated 29 years of married life together this past summer.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Terri was preceded in death by her sister, Miss Rosemary Rancheck and more recently by a brother, Mr. Joseph Rancheck.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Left to cherish the wonderful memories they have of her, in addition to her husband Leonard at home, are her children, Mrs. Maura E. Casey of Elizabethtown; Mr. Alan M. Gribble, Plains Township; Step-daughter, Mrs. Danielle Betz of State College; Step-sons; Mr. David Petroski of Charlotte, N.C. and Mr. Darrin Petroski of Shickshinny; Eight grandchildren; Brother; Mr. Francis Rancheck of Trenton, New Jersey; Several nieces, nephews, former nursing colleagues, dear friends and her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Missy.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Funeral services for Mrs. Petroski will be conducted on Monday morning with her memorial funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, 668 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.&nbsp; The Reverend Michael J. Kloton, pastor of Good Shepherd and Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parishes, and personal family friend, will serve as celebrant and homilist.&nbsp; Inurnment, with the Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery of the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, Dorchester Drive, Dallas.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Those wishing to attend services are invited to assemble directly at church for visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Terri&#39;s funeral Mass.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In lieu of floral tributes, it was Terri&#39;s previous request that those wishing to make a donation in her memory, kindly give consideration to the Saint Jude Children&#39;s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105; www.stjude.org.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The John V.
