Lora Kate (Katie) Harding, 96, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on October 13, 2021 in Huntsville, AL.

Katie was born in Arab, AL to Reuben and Della Julian on April 19, 1925.  She is survived by her daughter Debra Singleton Widener of Huntsville, AL, grandson Joey (Amy) Widener and great grandchildren Mary and Henry Widener of Decatur, GA and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband James Homer Harding, her infant son, her siblings Donald Julian, Wanda Thrower, Sibyl Reid, Violet Smith and Reuben Julian.

Katie retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1985 after 21 years of service.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim and friends, working in her flower gardens and socializing with friends and fellow members of Whitesburg Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at Huntsville Memory Gardens at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 with Pastor Rick Stone officiating.  No public viewing will be held.

Spry Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Whitesburg Baptist Church Library or the charity of your choice.
