Lucinda “Cindy” Elaine Shepherd, age 55, of Jeffersonville, IN was born in Muncie, IN on June 18th, 1966, entered into her final rest on October 13, 2021. 

There will be a visitation held on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 3 PM to 8 PM at Scott Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 11 AM at Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Additional visitation hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 AM.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Helen Maynard.

She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Shepherd, her parents; Roger and Iris Marker, her siblings; Mike Marker, Audrey Hilkey (Lance), Rachel Slone, Rhonda Marker, Robyn Funk, her children; Brittney Harmeyer (Troy), Chelsea Leitch, Alex Leitch, Olivia Shepherd, Catherine Shepherd, Meredith Shepherd, Elizabeth Shepherd, and Caroline Shepherd, her grandchildren; Conner and Emma Harmeyer, as well as a host of other family members and friend who are left to cherish her memories.  

Cindy could be found in the benches cheering her children on whether it was a band competition, dance recital, or even an art show. Being there to support her children no matter the event or dream was what Cindy was known for best. Cindy was the 5th generation to manage Schimpff's Confectionery of Jeffersonville, IN. Seeing the smiles as people (especially kids) walked into the candy store made Cindy’s day.
