<p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">The family of Gustav Rode of Edmonton, AB formerly of Westlock, AB is saddened to announce his passing on October 11, 2021 at the age of 89 years.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">He will be remembered by his loving wife Dorine of 68 years; daughters, Mona (Donald) Properzi, Rhonda (Dale) Davis and Bonnie Rode; grandchildren, Tim (Tracy) Properzi, Dennis (Hollie) Properzi, Kristy (Frans) Bouius, Cory (Jessica) Davis, Brent (Chantel) Davis, 13 great grandchildren and brother Harold.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">He was predeceased by parents Rudolf and Leokadia, brothers Arnold, Leo, Fred and sister Ida VanTamelen.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Gus operated the Westlock Esso Business until his retirement at the age of 55 and&nbsp;</span></strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">lived in Edmonton until his death.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">At Gus&rsquo;s request no service will be held.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family by visiting westlockfuneralhome.com</span></strong></p>

I remember when Gus had the service station in Pibroch when we all were young and just starring out he was such a pleasant young fellow and a credit to our little town He had a good long life I am sure you will miss him Dorine
