Ernest Jerome “Horse” Sampson, 61, of Whitakers, NC formerly of New Bern, died at his residence on Friday, October 8, 2021. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11AM at St. John Missionary Baptist Church 1130 Walt Bellamy Dr. New Bern. Burial will follow service in Evergreen Cemetery. Public viewing will be held 1 PM – 3 PM on Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. John and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. He is survived by 4 children and his mother, Rev. Ethel Belle Sampson.
