<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Joann Ivey Dollar</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Mrs. Joann Ivey Dollar, 83, of 8630 Lindley Mill Road, passed away on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, at Chatham Hospital.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">She was a native of Alamance County, N.C. and retired from AT&amp;T after 30 years of service. She was the daughter of the late A.M. and Josie Ivey. She was married to the late Joseph Daniel Dollar for 54 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and neighbor. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church in Snow Camp. She found joy and love in life by spending time with her family and friends. She was very close to her granddaughters and was always willing to go to great lengths to show them how special and loved they were. Most recently, she enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren and her face would light up after one of their smiles. She was also a loving mother, not only to her daughter, but to many friends and neighbors in the community. She was known for her spunky personality, great sense of style, honesty, and most notably her ability to listen and provide sound advice.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">She is survived by her daughter, Benita Dollar Griffin of Snow Camp; grandchildren, Emily Lineberry and husband Matthew, Ivey Griffin; great-grandchildren, James and Nolan Lineberry.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">A celebration of life and hope will be held at Center United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 17th, with the Reverend Wendy Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:45 &ndash; 2:45 pm, immediately prior to the service.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">The family of Mrs. Dollar would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff at Chatham Hospital for their care and support during this difficult time.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Memorial contributions may be made to Center United Methodist Church at 9204 Center Church Road, Snow Camp, NC 27349.</span></span></p>

Joann Ivey Dollar

Mrs. Joann Ivey Dollar, 83, of 8630 Lindley Mill Road, passed away on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, at Chatham Hospital.

 

She was a native of Alamance County, N.C. and retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. She was the daughter of the late A.M. and Josie Ivey. She was married to the late Joseph Daniel Dollar for 54 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and neighbor. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church in Snow Camp. She found joy and love in life by spending time with her family and friends. She was very close to her granddaughters and was always willing to go to great lengths to show them how special and loved they were.
