<p>Mary C. (n&eacute;e Gillis) Scarfo, 88, of Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Nashua, NH and Belmont, MA,&nbsp;passed away on Oct. 11, 2021, at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born on Jan. 7, 1933 in Brighton, MA, daughter of the late William Everett Gillis and Anastasia Gillis (n&eacute;e O&rsquo;Halloran).</p> <p>Most important to her was family and she will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 56 years, Joseph A. Scarfo; brothers, Everett, Richard, Francis, and John Gillis and sister Dorothy Hand.</p> <p>The legacy and memory of her life will be cherished by her son, Paul Scarfo and wife Kerry Ann of Chelmsford, MA; daughters Deborah Kruchko and husband James of St. Augustine, FL; Susan Norris of Davie, FL; Jane Anderson and husband Eric of Lake Wylie, SC; and Sally Scarfo of Tega Cay, SC; nine grandchildren, a great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and friends.</p> <p>A celebration of life service will be held by the family at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at a later date, where&nbsp;Mary&nbsp;will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Joseph.</p> <p>The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all who cared for Mary, including hospice and home care nurses, physicians and medical staff, for their unwavering compassion and support.</p>

Mary C. (née Gillis) Scarfo, 88, of Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Nashua, NH and Belmont, MA, passed away on Oct. 11, 2021, at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born on Jan. 7, 1933 in Brighton, MA, daughter of the late William Everett Gillis and Anastasia Gillis (née O’Halloran).
