Thomas J Ortega Sr.

<p>Thomas J. Ortega Sr., age&nbsp;90, of Penasco, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2021.&nbsp;</p> <p>Thomas is preceded in death by his parents William B. and Rios Ortega; brothers Ted, Tony, Robert, John, Orlando, and Jose Ortega; sisters Kate Lovato&nbsp;and Jane Pacheco; sons John and Kenneth Ortega.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was married to the love of his life Juanita on November 5th, 1955. Thomas was also enlisted in the United States Army. He then worked in California as a firefighter, as well as a miner in Grants and in Questa, New Mexico.&nbsp;</p> <p>Thomas is survived by his son Thomas J Ortega of Penasco, NM; daughters Marilyn Ortega of Penasco, NM, Betty Ortega of Penasco, NM, and Adeline Ortega of Albuquerque, NM; daughter-in-law Emily Ortega; grandson Lorenzo Lopez; granddaughters Valerie Rodriguez; Victoria Ortega, and Veronica Ortega, as well as many nephews, nieces and numerous friends and family.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Services will be private.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The family of Thomas J.
