Remie Paul Beaulieu Ormond Beach, Florida Obituary

Remie Paul Beaulieu

Remie Paul Beaulieu, age 46, of Port Orange, Florida, was called home to be with God on Thursday, October 7, 2021 after complications from COVID-19. Remie was born April 20, 1975, at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida and was a lifetime resident of the Daytona Beach area. Remie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Remie was a man of deep faith with a kind & compassionate heart. He spent a lifetime in service to others. He was head of the IT ministry and served as a Bible class teacher at the Holly Hill Church of Christ, volunteered in a Louisiana shelter after hurricane Katrina and actively supported mission work in Honduras. Through these callings, he touched and improved the lives of thousands of people locally, nationally, and internationally. He was an integral part of CareerSource Flagler Volusia for the last 22 years. His job as a Network Systems Engineer helped expand the IT foundation of the organization & supported their mission to connect jobseekers and employers with each other. For the past seven years, Remie was on the Board of Trustees for Family Renew Community, a nonprofit faith-based organization that provides a safe, stable home for homeless families with children, and equips them with the tools needed to be self-sufficient. From 2017-2019, he served as the Board President during a transformative time. Remie loved multiplayer roleplaying video games he regularly enjoyed with his large circle of friends. Remie was a fan of science fiction and fantasy including Star Wars, Marvel Comics, Star Trek, Dr. Who, Tolkien, Highlander, and more. Remie’s ability to truly listen to others, consider their opinion and engage in respectful & meaningful conversation was a unique gift that will be treasured by all who took advantage of the opportunity. His sense of humor, quick wit and full belly laughs will be greatly missed as well! Remie is survived by his wife, Sheila, “The most wonderful woman in the world;” stepson Mason Lowe and stepdaughter Alayna Lowe; mother Sandra and father Roger; two sisters Barbara and Susan, and brother Bill (Kim); along with six nieces, one nephew, and two great-nieces & six great-nephews. He was also godfather to Patrick and Olivia Hill and “Uncle Remie” to many other young people throughout his life. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 6pm at Holly Hill Church of Christ in Holly Hill, Florida by Minister Vic Pruett. Reception to follow in the adjacent fellowship annex. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the medical team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach for their outstanding and compassionate efforts on Remie’s behalf. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Holly Hill Church of Christ-Honduras Mission Fund at hollyhillchurchofchrist.com or to Family Renew Community at familyrenew.org/donate-now.
