Donna Lynn Baxter
Donna Lynn Baxter, 67 year old Tulsa resident and former Woodward resident, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 in Tulsa. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4518 E. 9th Street, Tulsa, OK. 74112. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.<br /><br />Donna Lynn Baxter was born on August 17, 1954 at the Woodward Hospital in Woodward, Oklahoma to Donald Theodore and Dortha Matilda (Bourbonnais) Baxter. She grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School. Donna attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and received her Bachelor of Science in Business/Accounting. She was united in marriage to Eddie R. Burton on June 8, 1991 at the First Christian Church in Pampa, Texas. They made their home in Woodward and were blessed with one son Robert "Blake" Burton. Donna and her family later moved to Tulsa and has lived there since that time. While living in Woodward Donna worked Trego's where she sewed pockets on mens jeans. She always talked about how much she loved her first real job. She later worked in accounting for WR Grace Corporation and as a Senior Sales Coordinator for Terra Nitrogen Corporation. After moving to Tulsa, she worked for Terra Nitrogen, Tulsa office, Lowes, Reasor's and was the Senior Accounting/Office Manager for MC Electrical Contractors Inc.<br /><br />She loved spending time in her yard, she could grow anything and she loved spending time with her dog Charlie, a black Scottish Terrier. Donna loved her son Blake unconditionally understanding all his flaws and shortcomings but that did not make any difference to her. She enjoyed playing golf, working on home projects and spending time with her church family and friends.<br /><br />She is survived by her son Robert "Blake" Burton; former spouse Eddie R. Burton; and many friends. Her smile and quick wit will be greatly missed by all who truly knew her.<br /><br />Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Dortha Baxter and brother Robert George Baxter.<br /><br />Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 4518 E. 9th Street, Tulsa, OK. 74112.<br />August 17, 1954 - October 4, 202108/17/195410/04/2021
