Ronald Kieth Norton Obituary

Ronald Kieth Norton was born in a farmhouse in Kansas on December 10, 1937. He grew up in Franklin, Nebraska and graduated from Franklin High School in 1957. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1957 and spent the first 10 years of service in the western pacific. For his first shore duty, he was stationed at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM where he met and married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann (Betty). The next ten years in service were spent on the East coast, Norfolk, VA and Charleston, SC. While stationed in Norfolk, he went to Diving School and became a Navy Deep Sea Diver. He retired after 20 years with Navy and moved to Denver CO, but after only 3 years wanderlust hit and he moved the family to Oklahoma on some acreage. He went to work at General Motors. After 20 years he retired and was able to make lots of trips on his motorcycle with his brother and friends. He’s survived by his wife Betty; son Clyde Norton and wife Judy of Aurora, CO; daughter Michelle Milner and husband Jeff of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughter Brandi Smith and husband Andy of Moore, OK; grandson Trevor Cavener and wife MacKenzie of Midwest City; great-grandson Kain Cavener and great-granddaughter Remington (Remi) Smith; older brother Donald Norton of Sioux Falls, SD; younger sister Janice Greening of Victoria, MN; younger sister Barbara Struckhoff of Smith Center , KS; Richard Norton of Franklin, NE. He was preceded in death by his son, Janes Norton and both his parents Emerald and Vincent Norton.
