George R. Rusk, 88, of Momence, IL, died on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at his residence. He was born on January 1, 1933, in Chicago, IL, the son of Ira and Helen Saturnes Rusk. He married Elva M. Tremel on November 30, 1957, in Hickory Hills, IL. She survives. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law; Terrance (Teresa) Rusk of Noblesville, IN. His daughter and son-in-law; Catherine (Tom) Titus of Centre Hall, PA. Two brothers; Joe (Joan) Rusk of FL and Richard Rusk of Momence, IL. His sister; Janet Lando of Essex, CT. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Greg Rusk, Sara Rusk and Hope Titus, and a great granddaughter; Zoey Rusk. George was an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Samantha Rusk. He was an industrial arts teacher in Forest Park, IL, for ten years and retired as an electronics engineer. He served in the United States Army from 1953 – 1954. George was a Scout Master and a committee member of the Boy Scouts for several years. He loved woodworking and tinkering with electronics. George volunteered at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Momence, IL. He was an good golfer and played for many years. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manteno Veterans’ Home in Manteno, IL.
