Charles Wesley Atkins "Terry"

Charles Wesley Atkins “Terry” was born on March 13, 1956 in Dover, DE. He departed this life on October 11, 2021 at the age of 65. Charles was preceded in death by his nana, Marie Guy; brother, George Atkins; uncle and aunt, Bernard and Maria Smith. Charles was educated in the Capital School District and graduated from Dover High School in 1974. He was employed with the Delaware Department of Corrections, where he retired after 28 years of service. Charles was loved by all, hardworking and the most helpful man you could meet. His hobbies included cutting grass, buying cars, fixing lawn mowers and riding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycles. Charles leaves to cherish fond memories of him with his mother, Reba B. Johns; daughters, Teresa Dixon, Darla Dixon, Vonetta McNair Bradley (Da’mir); son, Charles Hopkins; nephews, Kijuanis Smith, Avar Brown, Shaquille Dixon; four “bonus” children that he was instrumental in raising, Mary Dawn Easley, Andrea Tiller, Carmetta Holden, Jansen Holden; six grandchildren (whom he loved dearly); and a host of other close family and friends.
