Richard J Donohoe 52 of Toms River died Wednesday October 13, 2021 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Long Branch he was raised in Highlands and resided in Lakewood before moving to Toms River 2 years ago. He worked for Commercial Metal Steel in Sayreville for 23 years. He loved to fish, golf and was always up for a good prank he had a great sense of humor. He loved his Irish heritage and wore it proud. He was an awesome cook and his short ribs were amazing. He was a hard worker on and off the job. Richie & Carmela shared a beautiful love and were best friends. He fought hard and she stood by his side every day of his fight. He is predeceased by his parents Richard & Dorothy Donohoe. Surviving is his loving fiancé of twelve years, Carmela Leitermann, his children Christopher R Donohoe, Casey T Donohoe and Joseph Persico, (Carmela’s son who was in Richards Life for 12 years) his brother, Sean Donohoe, and beloved pet, Bandit. Visitation is Monday 5-8 PM with a 7 pm service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester.
