Anthony Jurczynski Waterford, New York Obituary

Anthony Jurczynski

Anthony “Tony” Jurczynski passed away unexpectedly on the morning of October 11th. He is predeceased by his mother Wanda and brother Slawomir, and survived by his father Jan, his wife Grazyna and their beloved children: Rafal, Artur, and Natalia; his sister-in-law Renata, and his nephew Piotr. Tony was born September 12, 1963 in Chicago, and moved to his family's hometown of Mlawa in Poland at age 3, where he remained until 2003 when he and his family emigrated to the United States. As a young man, Tony always knew how to have a good time. He was an avid traveler, and enjoyed spending his evenings out dancing to music. It was on one such evening he met Grazyna. With steadfast persistence and an irresistible charm in his corner, it was only a matter of time before the two were married in 1995. Tony never met a person he couldn't strike up an enjoyable conversation with in any of the multiple languages he knew—language barriers be damned. And if you got him started on his cherished KISS and AC/DC, you'd have a friend for life. Needless to say, a love of music and the gift of gab kept Tony in good company throughout his life. Most importantly, however, Tony's enduring legacy is as a hardworking and profoundly loving father. He worked long hours to provide for his children, but still made time to form meaningful relationships with all of them. They and the rest of his family and friends will miss him deeply. Flowers can be sent to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cohoes. A memorial service will be held there on Friday, October 15th at 11am.
