Richard Allen Hill 73, of Denmar passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at CAMC- General in Charleston. Born June 6, 1948 in Lobelia he was a son of the late Dennis and Minnie Shafer Hill. He was preceded in death by sister, Phyllis McKeever, and a brother, David Hill. Richard was a Coal Miner for Fola Coal Company for 20 years and a US Army Veteran. Richard is survived by a daughter, Melissa Hill of Slaty Fork, and a son, Richard Allen Hill, Jr. of Maurertown, VA, four grandchildren, Seth Doss, Kyler Doss, Chance Hill, and Joseph Hill, two sisters, Plumia Hause and husband Kyle of Buckeye, and Elsie Layman and husband Paul of Amelia, VA, brother, Harold Hill and wife Catherine of Renick. Richard had many wonderful neighbors and friends. Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with Military Rites by the Pocahontas County Veterans Honor Corp.
