<p>Kay Ebron Spears, 75, of Morehead City, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Carteret Health Care.</p> <p>Kay was born on September 24, 1946, in Morehead City, North Carolina, daughter of the late John T. Ebron and Ruth Duggan Ebron. Always one to stay busy, she worked as a hairdresser, a Certified Nurse Assistant and held various other jobs before retiring.</p> <p>She is survived by her son, Danny Ray Mathis of Newport; sisters, Priscilla Rowe of Newport, Jane Godfrey of Ark City, KS and Twiler Yates of Sandersville, GA; grandchildren, Cynthia, Anthony, Anna and Valerie; and 2 great grandchildren.</p> <p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Morrison; and brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Mona Faye Ebron.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carteret County Cancer Center, 3500 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC 28557.</p> <p>Family and friends are welcome to submit online condolences at www.mundenfuneralhome.net</p> <p>Arrangements by Munden Funeral Home &amp; Crematory in Morehead City, NC.&nbsp;</p>

Kay Ebron Spears, 75, of Morehead City, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Carteret Health Care.

Kay was born on September 24, 1946, in Morehead City, North Carolina, daughter of the late John T. Ebron and Ruth Duggan Ebron. Always one to stay busy, she worked as a hairdresser, a Certified Nurse Assistant and held various other jobs before retiring.
