Alyce Louise Reinarz

Alyce Louise Reinarz, 74, of Bigfork, MN formerly of Gemmell, MN died on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Bigfork Valley Hospital in Bigfork, MN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Hope Lutheran Church in Northome, MN with Pastor Luke Berntson officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, for one hour prior to the service at the church. A gathering of friends and family will take place at the Kootasca Senior Center in Northome after services. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gemmell, MN. Alyce was born on April 11, 1947 in Saint Paul, MN, the daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Schubert) Barrieau. She was raised in Saint Paul and graduated from Mounds View High School in 1965. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Dean Reinarz, Sr. on November 6, 1965 at St. Odilia Catholic Church in Shoreview, MN. After their marriage they moved to Germany. Due to Jimmy’s military career, they lived in many locations across the United States. They settled in Gemmell in 1981 where she took joy in raising her family. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post in Northome and the Women’s Missionary Federation with Hope and Bethesda Lutheran Church. She received several sewing and volunteer awards over the years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and being actively involved in numerous church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary activities. Alyce’s love for the Lord shined to all who knew her and was evident in her hours of volunteer work and the many quilts made for her family and community. Alyce is survived by 4 sons, Jimmy (Dee) Reinarz, Jr. of Mizpah, MN, Jeffrey (Jill) Reinarz of Mizpah, MN, Jason (Chrystal) Reinarz of Two Harbors, MN and Jonathan (Donna) Reinarz of Brooklyn Center, MN; daughter, Jaclyn (Kevin) Czymbor of Armour, SD; 14 grandchildren, Alyssa, Chelsey (Justin), Aarin, Jeremy, Madison, Hope, Nathaniel, Zachary, Kari, Jimmy, Michael, Noah, Ezra and Micah; 2 great grandchildren, Case and Charley; 2 sisters, Barb Viskoe of North Branch, MN and Judy (Gerald) Albrecht of Mizpah, MN; brother, Robert (Sherri) Barrieau, Jr. of Mizpah, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Reinarz, Sr.; and her parents, Robert Barrieau, Sr. and Gertrude Barrieau.
