Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother went to his Heavenly Home, Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Age 79 years. Son of the late Roland and Ruth (Conley) Champagne, Lawrence was born April 17, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Marilyn Griffore, his loving wife of 58 years, on June 8, 1963. She survives him. Lawrence was a heavy equipment operator for numerous companies. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He enjoyed his work, the outdoors and especially his family.

Surviving besides his wife Marilyn are one daughter and five sons, Peter and Kim Champagne, Freeland; Paul and Carol Champagne, Saginaw; Larry and Melissa Champagne, Zilwaukee; Christine and Eric Campbell, Zilwaukee; Ted and Mary R. Champagne, Reese; Patrick and Meredith Champagne, Savannah, Georgia; 15 grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas, Mackenzie “Kenzie” and Gabrielle “Gabby” Champagne, Amber, Rachel and Joshua Champagne, Shannon, Noelle and Meredith Champagne, Kevin, Kayla and Sarah Campbell, Elaine Champagne, Wyatt Champagne; two sisters, Kathy and Richard “Dick” Malesky, Zilwaukee; Mary Ellen and Mike Mullally, Zilwaukee; a sister-in-law, Olga Champagne, Zilwaukee; several nieces and nephews. Lawrence was preceded in death by one sister, Sharlene and Jerry Lunt and two brothers, Tom Champagne and Frank and Marylou Champagne.

Funeral Service will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Andrew S. LaFramboise will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
